Fred and his loving wife Dianna

Dr. Fernando B. Bonanni, is an accomplished and widely respected general surgeon presently working at Abington Memorial Hospital, (Director of the Surgical Weight Loss Center), but at night, he becomes “Freddie B,” the musician.

Dr. Bonanni grew up in the Philadelphia area, is married, and has sevendaughters,(no, that’s not a misprint, seven daughters!), and resides locally. He began playing the guitar because he wanted to share somethisng with his children, and what’s better than music?  And after a chance encounter with a microphone at an amateur night, Fred so impressed restaurant owner holding the event that he asked Fred if he would be interested in playing there on a more regular basis, thus “Freddie B” was born.

Freddie B. plays a nice mix of yesterday and today’s hits, there’s something for everyone in his sets. His music is always solo and pure, no back-up singers or electronic drum kits. His sets are always very diverse, and he never has a problem with requests. His guitar playing is smooth and precise, and his vocals are never strained or harsh, and on occasion, he’ll even break out the harmonica and accompany his guitar on songs like Billy Joel’s “Piano Man.”

A devoted family man, a respected surgeon and an accomplished musician, Freddie B. does it all with passion.
